The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall for the Lord upholds him with His hand. (Psalm 37:23-25)
The one who delights in God may stumble but he will not fall because God is making his feet steady.
Imagine there is a price giving ceremony going on and you are in an auditorium. You are sitting with the crowd just enjoying the atmosphere.
All of a sudden, you hear your name being called. To your surprise, you have won an award.
As you make your way up the stairs, you stumble but you steady yourself and go up to collect the award.
Although you stumbled for a few seconds, you actually gathered yourself and walked up.
The one who trusts in God may have a temporary setback but that is just what it is. It is a temporary setback. The Bible says a righteous man may fall seven times but he gets back up again.
People may plot against you, they may gang up against you, lie, produce false evidence to malign your character but do not fret.
Sometimes, it may seem as if they’ve won. Your credibility may be at stake but you have not lost.
When the last bell is rung, you’ll still be standing.
It is not over till God says it is over and it is not over until you win.
